Having Problems With The Calcbench Excel Add-In?

I get a security warning in Excel upon running the Calcbench Add-in
   -OR-
I see this error message: The Ribbon/COM Add-in helper required by add-in CalcbenchExcel Add-In could not be registered.

  1. In Excel, click the File tab.
  2. Click the Options button.
  3. Click the Trust Center option.
  4. Click the Trust Center Settings button.
  5. Click the Add-ins option.
  6. If you see this option selected, you will need to UNSELECT it in order to get the add-in to run.

If this doesn't work, it is possible you have accidentally disabled the Add-in:
  1. In Excel, click the File tab.
  2. Click the Options button.
  3. Click the Add-Ins option.
  4. Select Manage 'Disabled Items', and click the 'Go' button.
  5. If the Calcbench Add-In is listed, highlight it and click the 'Enable' Button.


How To Re-enable an Add-in That Has Been Disabled?

  1. In Excel, click the File tab.
  2. Click the Options button.
  3. In the categories pane, click Add-ins.
  4. In the details pane, verify that the Calcbench add-in appears in the Disabled Application Add-ins list.
    The Name column specifies the name of the assembly, and the Location column specifies the full path of the application manifest.
  5. In the Manage box, click Disabled Items, and then click Go.
  6. Select the Calcbench Add-in and click Enable.

How To Unistall The Calcbench Excel Add-In?

In your computer's Control Panel, click "Programs and Features", and double click 'Calcbench Excel Add-In' from the list. This will give you the option to export.

The Add-In is causing my Excel to crash?

If uninstalling the Add-In through your computer's Control Panel does not work, you can manually uninstall it using Excel's Safe Mode.

  1. Click the Start button at the lower-left of your screen. Windows displays the Start menu.
  2. Within the Search Programs and Files box at the bottom of the Start menu—enter the following:
     excel.exe /s

This will start Excel in safe mode. Now you can disable the Add-In, by going to File -> Options -> Add-Ins.
At the botom of the screen, choose Manage 'Excel Add-Ins' and hit go. Now you can deselect the Calcbench Excel Add-In.
Then you will need to go to the add-ins page a second time, and choose Manage 'COM Add-Ins', and again deselect the Calcbench Excel Add-In.
