The first thing you’ll notice is a new Calcbench website. Hopefully we are just a week or so away from unveiling the great new design, thanks to the very talented Ed Chung, in conjunction with our marketing experts at Magnetude.

2014 is also going to be about more data visualization. Across time, across company, aggregated up to industry…however you want to see it, we’re going to provide more of it.

We’re going to be adding some new people to the Calcbench team, both in tech and sales/admin. Interested? Contact us. And we are also close to announcing a couple of exciting new partnerships.

We’ll continue the rollout of our Filer Portal, a new service we are offering to XBRL creators, to help them identify past errors and steer clear of future ones.

Our Premium Suite is going to tack on several new features, including email alerts, detailed disclosure search, and maybe a few nifty collaboration tools to make your analysis easier.

But wait, there’s more! We’ve been appointed to FASB’s XBRL Taxonomy Advisory Group, and were just named to the Open Data 500.

What are we hopeful for in 2014? Well, maybe, just maybe this year the SEC will get foreign, IFRS based filers into the XBRL mandate, so we no longer have to explain why we have data for some foreign filers, but not others.

Remember to keep up with all of these developments on Twitter (@calcbench) and our Linked In user group.

Happy New Year!
The Calcbench Team
